The Spring Survey Season is here at last!
Temperatures have finally reached double figures – Hoorah!
The busiest time of the year for surveys is generally the spring. This year spring has arrived a little later.
The start of the great crested newt survey season has been affected by the late arrival of spring, but we are finally commencing surveys this week. There is one month’s window in which to complete half of the survey visits required; current guidelines for this species requires half of survey visits to be undertake between mid-April and mid-May with the remaining visits carried out up to mid-June.
Reptile, bat, badger, otter, water vole and breeding bird surveys, and habitats, invasive species and woodland surveys can all be carried out now too.
Our Ecology Survey Seasons Calendar provides further information on the timing of surveys. Please call us to discuss your requirements and timescales.
