Seasons Ecology is an ecological consultancy providing expert technical support on a range of development and conservation projects.

Kate Hayward and Hannah Maben (the Directors) collectively have 40 years experience within the field of ecology and both have previous experience of running a small independent environmental consultancy/contracting company.  Kate manages our Bath and North East Somerset team of ecologists from our office near Bath and Hannah manages our team of ecologists across Somerset West and Taunton and Devon from our office in Wellington, but we work nationwide.

The company was formed in 2012 to enable cost effective yet high quality technical advice to be delivered.

Kate Hayward has been a practising consultant for more than 20 years. She is a full member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management, a holder of mitigation licences for badgers, bats and great crested newts and she has great crested newt and bat survey licences. Kate has experience at all levels of ecological consulting and in all aspects from design to completion.  Kate is based in Bath.

Hannah Maben has also been a practising consultant for 20 years and is a full member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management.  Hannah is registered to use Natural England’s Bat Mitigation Class Licence (Annexes B, C and D), holds mitigation licences for badger, bats, dormouse and great crested newt. Hannah holds survey licences for bats, dormouse and great crested newts (England and Wales). Hannah has worked on a range of schemes from private residential schemes through to nationally significant projects. Hannah is based in Wellington.
