Supporting AONBs with funding bid to improve road verge biodiversity
Seasons Ecology is delighted to have been appointed by two local Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) to help a bid for investment in road verge biodiversity.
The Blackdown Hills (AONB) and East Devon AONB approached Seasons Ecology for ecological expertise to survey and identify sections of road verge on the A35 between Honiton and Kilmington that can be improved for biodiversity.
The report prepared by Seasons Ecology will be used by the Plantlife-AONB partnership to apply to Highways England’s designated environment fund to improve grassland management on the strategic road network within specific AONBs. In doing so the Plantlife-AONB partnership will be supporting Highways England in delivering their biodiversity targets.
