Assistant Ecologist 2017 – Seasons Ecology is recruiting!
The deadline for applications for this position has now passed.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an assistant ecologist to work in a growing south-west based ecological consultancy.
Seasons Ecology established in 2012 and specialises in ecological surveys, impact assessments and mitigation design largely to inform and support planning applications and construction projects. An enthusiastic assistant ecologist is required to assist with a diverse range of field surveys and the delivery of high quality technical reports including ecological appraisals, Environmental Impact Assessments, protected species licences and BREEAM Ecology Reports.
The role will be based at our office close to the M5 on the Somerset/Devon border, but will require regular travel across the south-west, England and Wales. Working closely alongside other staff including one of the Partners the successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to gain significant in house training and exposure to all aspects of ecological consultancy.
The right individual will be passionate about wildlife and the outdoors (whatever the weather and hour!), but also enthusiastic with reporting and other office based tasks. A willingness to learn quickly and take on new responsibilities is essential.
Seasons Ecology offer a competitive salary and flexible working.
The role will commence in April 2017 and would be part time (three days per week) until the end of April 2017 and fulltime from May 2017 onwards. This is a temporary role until the end of October 2017.
